Leatherbiz reports that leather chemicals company Lanxess has confirmed that the proposed sale of its chrome chemicals business to Chinese manufacturer Brother Enterprises does not include the chrome mine it owns and runs in Rustenburg in South Africa.

ILM reports that Lanxessthat is selling its chrome chemicals business to Brother Enterprises, a Chinese leather chemicals producer. An agreement to that effect was signed on August 12, subject to approval by relevant antitrust authorities. Lanxess expects to complete the planned transaction by the end of 2019.
